Pete Thursby Joins Bank of the West Commercial Banking Group As Senior Banker

CHICAGO, Oct. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank of the West announced today that Pete Thursby has joined the Bank as senior banker in the Chicago office of its Commercial Banking Group. In this role, Thursby will focus on large mid-cap corporate clients across the US.

"With more than 25 years of banking and finance experience, Pete brings with him in-depth origination and structuring experience that will help us sharpen our focus on large corporate clients and greatly enhance our strategic calling effort," said Ted Dunn, executive vice president and syndications manager in Bank of the West's Commercial Banking Group. 

Thursby joins Bank of the West from Wells Fargo Securities, where he was managing director in the Leveraged Finance Group. He was the team leader of the Central Region Middle Market Debt Capital Markets team in Chicago, supporting various regional commercial banking offices in originating loan syndications and high-yield debt transactions.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2011, Pete was an executive vice president at Associated Bank, leading the commercial bank's non-credit product efforts.  He also served as a managing director in the Loan Syndications Group at LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO Inc.

Thursby received his bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame and his masters of business administration in finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
