Petco Unveils 12 New Stores in October

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In keeping with its fast-paced 2016 growth plan — which includes 50 new Petco stores and one new Unleashed by Petco store year-to-date —  Petco, a leading specialty retailer of premium pet food, supplies and services, will open 12 new Petco stores nationwide, remodel and expand one store in Ohio, and relocate one store in Oregon.

Petco stores provide a one-stop shopping experience where pet parents can purchase anything from pet food to toys and apparel, while addressing the holistic health needs of pets via grooming salon, self-serve dog wash, dog training areas and in-store Vetco clinics.

The stores will continue to offer a wide selection of private label offerings sold exclusively at Petco, including the newly released Trolls Pet Fans Collection, as well as the popular Star Wars and Dr. Seuss Pet Fans Collections.

Also happening this month Petco and Unleashed by Petco stores nationwide, including those opening in October, will be getting into the Halloween spirit with Halloween pet costume contests on October 22 and October 29 at 2 p.m. local time.

People and pets are invited to attend the opening festivities taking place at each store, and a special Wellness Center celebration the following weekend, where pet parents will receive a voucher for a free vaccination package for their dog or cat.
