Pesticide Spraying Courses Now Available from Newlands Training
DORCHESTER, England, March 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- This is the season for pesticide application, and unless born before 31st December 1964, those working within the industry must hold a valid Certificate of Competence. Land based training provider Newlands Training offer the full range of pesticide spraying courses from the NPTC, allowing those without 'Grandfather Rights' the opportunity to work safely within the industry.
The first stage of the course will cover the PA1 Safe Handling of Chemicals; this will make each participant of the course aware of the dangers of working with chemicals and the correct method of application. This section of the course is classroom based, covering the theory, risks and understanding of the various pesticides used in the workplace.
The second part of the course is field based, which will cover a variety of disciplines. Whilst out in the field, participants have the option to master various techniques such as PA6a Hand held Application (knapsack sprayers), PA2a Tractor Mounted Spraying, PA4 Granular Application and handling slug pellets.
The final step of the course is a NPTC evaluation, assessing each of the elements learnt within the course. Newlands Training will arrange these evaluations for each of their participants, and upon passing will award the NPTC Certificate of Competence relating to the modules taken.
