Personhood USA: "Free Justina Coalition" to hold prayer vigil and witness at Framingham facility where Justina Pelletier is being held
BOSTON, Feb. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The coalition will also hold a news conference before the vigil begins, to share current developments in the case.
The vigil will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 12:00 P.M. at the Wayside Youth Facility in Framingham, Massachusetts (1 Frederick Abbot Way, Framingham, MA 17017). Those assembled for the vigil will gather on the Lockland Ave. public sidewalk.
The prayer vigil will involve clergy, members of the faith community and people of good will. The Free Justina Coalition stresses Saturday's event is NOT a protest and will be out of view of the Wayside residents.
Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Washington, D.C. based Christian Defense Coalition and one of the coalition's organizers, states: "We feel it is very important that one of the first public events we have in the Free Justina Campaign is a public prayer vigil in which we are asking God to intervene and return Justina back to the loving arms of her family."
He continues: "It is a tragedy that a young 15 year old girl was unjustly ripped from the arms of her loving family by government agencies and courts and we will not rest until Justina is free and back with her family."
Keith Mason, President of Personhood USA, said: "We're prayerfully assembling on Saturday because we believe Justina is a precious human being created in God's image. Her human dignity ought to be respected. Unfortunately, that's not happening under government care. We will pray for her speedy release."
The vigil is also supported by Bethany Temple of IHOP Boston and Andrew Beckwith, President of the Massachusetts Family Institute.
