Company's Portfolio of Patents Covers Identifying, Accessing and Using Data
TYLER, Texas, Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PersonalWeb (www.personalweb.com), a Tyler, Texas-based technology company, today announced that the United States Patent & Trademark Office (U.S. Patent Office) has granted the company an additional patent covering its technology that identifies the unique details of data in a computer system.
U.S. Patent No. 8,082,262 outlines the company's technology, methods, systems and devices that allow access to unique data across multiple computers or peer-to-peer networks. The patent is now part of PersonalWeb's portfolio of nine patents for technology that covers content addressable storage, cloud computing, distributed computing, searching, social networking, and associated technology. The company has additional patents pending approval.
