Perlaky Receives Trucking's Top Safety Award
NORTH CANTON, Ohio, Nov. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) is proud to announce that Becky Perlaky, executive vice president of safety and compliance, is this year's recipient of the American Trucking Associations' (ATA) National Safety Director of the Year Award. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have dedicated their entire careers to keeping our highways safe. It's a long and respected tradition that dates back to 1960 when it was first presented. Since then it has come to represent the ultimate achievement in a safety professional's career.

Ms. Perlaky has been executive vice president of safety and compliance at KAG since 2011. She joined the company in 1994 and has been instrumental in building a culture where safety is integrated into every aspect of the business. Her career spans almost four decades in the transportation industry with 24 of those years dedicated to overall safety responsibility.
She is a member of the National Tank Truck Carrier (NTTC) Safety and Security Committee where she previously served as national chairwoman in 2013-2014. Ms. Perlaky is also a member of the Rollover Summit Committee for NTTC and received Partners in Safety Award from USDOT FMCSA for her assistance provided during the development of educational materials and a video focused on the prevention of tank truck rollovers.
Her many industry affiliations also include the American Transportation Research Institute, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, Transcaer, the Ohio Trucking Association Safety Council and ATA, where she serves on the Hazardous Materials Policy Committee and is vice-chair of the Occupational Safety & Health Committee.
