Perkins+Will Augments Seattle Office Capabilities, Names Brodie Bain as Campus Planning Director
New position signals Seattle-area growth in the higher education sphere for top integrated design firm
SEATTLE, March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, leading design firm Perkins+Will announced the creation of a new director-level position and a new hire at its Seattle offices. Brodie Bain, AIA, AICP, LEED® AP, has joined the office in the new position of Campus Planning Director, showing growth in the area of sustainable planning for higher education facilities for the innovative design firm.

Bain is a registered architect and certified planner who has focused almost exclusively on higher education for the past 15 years. She combines a comprehensive understanding of universities with strategic institutional design based on her extensive work in campus planning, programming, space utilization studies, land use, site planning and pre-designs for a full range of campus building types. She has worked closely with clients such as Ohio State University, Seattle University, the University of Washington, Duke University and the University of Virginia, listening to their needs and translating them into useable space within the context of physical opportunities and operational constraints.
