Performance Bicycle® declares spring the perfect season for kids to ride bikes
Free Teach Your Child to Ride a Bike clinic to be held in-store at 6 p.m. on March 26
CHAPEL HILL, N.C., March 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Performance Bicycle®, the #1 choice for people who love to ride, is honoring kids for the month of March. With the hope of warm weather approaching on everyone's minds and Performance Bicycle's growth guarantee program, now is the perfect time to either introduce a child to cycling or purchase their first "big kid" bike. On March 26, Performance Bicycle will be hosting a free clinic nationwide to help parents teach their children how to ride.
"Spring is the perfect time to get kids out on their bikes and riding," said Performance Bicycle CEO David Pruitt. "What better time of year for young cyclists to experience the fun and freedom of cycling."
On March 26, Performance Bicycle® will host a free, informational "Teach Your Child to Ride a Bike" clinic for parents at its more than 100 nationwide locations. Spin Doctor® mechanics will be providing tips on how to check a child's bike before rides, along with expert information to help parents teach their child to ride. Parents will also be informed of important safety equipment and accessories that make riding safer and easier. Those in attendance will receive a special offer of 10 percent off all kid's helmets, valid for that evening only.
All stores feature size and age charts to make it easier for parents to determine the right sized bike for their child. Performance associates will help parents find the right size and type of bike for their young rider. The child's bike will be properly assembled by a Spin Doctor® mechanic, covered by the Performance Bicycle Lifetime Guarantee and receive Free Lifetime Adjustments for as long as the family owns the bike. With Performance Bicycle's Grow Up With Performance Growth Guarantee, parents will receive discounts as the child grows into larger, more size and age appropriate bikes.
Performance Bicycle's online Learning Center offers an extensive collection of cycling information and provides parents with informative articles such as: riding a bike with your family, guide to teaching kids how to ride a bike, how to assemble a kid's bike and how to buy a kid's bike. The content in the Learning Center is updated every week to keep cyclists informed with the latest cycling trends and information.
All Performance Bicycle retail locations feature a great selection of kid's bikes for children aged two through eleven and beyond, including the favorite Schwinn Lotus and Schwinn Aero. An expanded selection of kid's bikes is available online. Bikes purchased online can be shipped to the store without any shipping charges and are professionally assembled by Spin Doctor® mechanics at no additional cost.
