Perforce Names Sara Kilian as Vice President and General Counsel

With more than 11 years of corporate legal experience, Kilian comes to Perforce from Fredrikson & Byron, P.A., where she was a partner, and represented private equity companies, closely-held companies, and family-owned companies in various stages of a company's life cycle. Kilian has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and tax planning and compliance that was developed through representing and advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies who were concentrated in the software and technology-based industries. In her role as the General Counsel at Perforce, Kilian will lead the Company's legal and compliance function as well as working with the Executive Team on driving the company's ongoing expansion through add-on acquisitions.

In addition to her stellar legal and corporate experience, Kilian was one of Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 2013 40 Under 40 honorees, an annual award highlighting the region's top young business and civic leaders who display outstanding professional achievement and a commitment to community service.

Kilian holds a juris doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law, a masters degree in business taxation (MBT) from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and a bachelor of science in accounting from Truman State University.  Prior to practicing law Kilian worked in public accounting as a licensed CPA.
