Pep Boys Promotes 'On-the-Go' Service to Philadelphia Train Commuters
Automotive Service and Retail Provider Uses Titan and SEPTA's Warminster Train Station to Test Same-Day Vehicle Servicing
PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Imagine getting your car serviced while you are at work and having it ready for you at the train station at the end of the day. The Pep Boys – Manny, Moe & Jack (NYSE: PBY), the nation's leading automotive aftermarket service and retail chain, is making this a reality for rail commuters who use the Warminster train station in Philadelphia.
Pep Boys is working in conjunction with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) and Titan, the leader in transit advertising, to offer this unique "On-the-Go" service to local train commuters. Any weekday morning, customers can complete a service request form at the Warminster station and securely drop off their keys. A Pep Boys representative from the nearby Warminster store will pick up the vehicle, coordinate the completion of the services required and ensure the vehicle is ready for pick up at the station at the end of the day.
"This is an exciting new partnership for us," said Jeff Randazzo, Vice President and General Manager for Titan's Philadelphia office. "It has allowed us to step outside the box by creating a custom solution to promote this new service which will make life easier for area commuters."
Philadelphia commuters will see large red and white signs and Pep Boys' signature brand icons Manny, Moe & Jack at the Warminster station promoting the service, as well as advertisements on 10 of Titan's high-impact brand buses.
"This is a perfect arrangement for our riders," said Richard DiLullo, SEPTA Director of Marketing and Advertising. "Everyone who rides the train knows how easy it is. Now this raises the convenience to a higher level."
"Out-of-home media – especially transit media – is a great way to promote this unique service to commuters in Warminster," said Pep Boys' Director of Marketing Scott Stoughton. "Titan has been a great partner in this effort, not only furnishing us with dynamic, eye-catching bus ads, but also creating custom drop boxes for the secure and safe collection of our customers' keys."
