HOLYOKE, Mass., May 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- PeoplesBank, a leader in corporate environmental sustainability, is holding a free e-recycling day and environmental seminar presented by the Center for EcoTechnology at their LEED® Gold certified Northampton office.
The e-recycling day will be held on Saturday, May 14 from 2-4 p.m. Bring your outdated or broken consumer electronics to be recycled free of charge. There is no limit on the amount of items you may bring. Acceptable items include: computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, cell phones, cameras, TVs, DVD players, batteries and keyboards. Please be advised that large household electronics and appliances cannot be accepted (i.e., stoves, washers/dryers, refrigerators).
The Center for EcoTechnology will be presenting on energy efficiency, green energy options and ways to reduce waste on Tuesday, May 17 from 5:30-7:30p.m. Claire Cuozzo and Diana Vasquez will be speaking on the MassSave program, and how you can save energy and money while improving comfort as a resident of Massachusetts. Learn more about incentives and rebates that are available to you. Along with MassSave, they will also cover green energy options and ways you can reduce waste at home. There will be time slotted for a Q&A session, so be sure to bring any sustainability related questions. Attendees will receive a free re-usable bag.
