"According to London Business School research, more than $12 billion is spent annually on leadership development and yet nearly sixty percent of companies report leadership shortages. We have carefully rounded out Peoplefluent's Digital Enterprise, conceived more than a year ago, with important investments in essential video and social technologies. The most immediate application of our resources coalesces around the deep requirements for executive leadership and employee development for the organizations we serve," said Charles S. Jones, chairman and CEO of Peoplefluent. "Over the years, Jim has provided meaningful insights into the ways in which learning is advancing and he has been instrumental in identifying philosophical and demographic changes in personal development profiles. His core knowledgebase will be instrumental as we build impactful collaborative learning solutions for our customers."
Mr. Irzyk's teaching and senior administrative career spans thirty years with positions in the U.S. and international markets. He has first-hand classroom experience and has served in the most senior administrative roles with accountability to the Board of Trustees at a range of leading primary and secondary school environments including Iona Prep, where he was president, Choate Rosemary Hall, The International School of Brussels, Cushing Academy, the Whitby School and Riverdale Country School. With deep expertise in curriculum review and delivery, strategic planning and assessment, and trend analysis and application in the educational arena, Mr. Irzyk will provide relevant and informed counsel and direction to Peoplefluent's learning initiatives.
"Jim has a powerful combination of deep educational domain expertise and understanding paired with years of hands-on practical experience. He is a strong thinker, who fully understands the complex and changing requirements of the learning and development model and keenly appreciates what is required for success and engagement in today's learning and in tomorrow's leaders," added Mr. Jones.
Mr. Irzyk attended Deerfield Academy before receiving a B.A. in Economics from College of the Holy Cross. He received an M.B.A. from American International College and a master's in Education Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University. He was also a National Association of Independent Schools Ford Fellow for Aspiring School Heads.
Commenting on his new role, Mr. Irzyk said, "Learning models are fast-moving towards inquiry-based, collaborative, hands-on learning environments in which individuals take ownership of their own development process. This real-world setting is focused on problem-based learning, aligning applications more directly with outcomes. New models require new solutions and engaging platforms for success. I am delighted to be on the forefront of learning advancements with the compelling technology environment Peoplefluent is launching."
