Penton's Design Engineering & Sourcing Group Expands Machine Design Editorial Team
NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Penton's Design Engineering & Sourcing group is pleased to announce the addition of several technical editors to its growing content team. Joining the staff this week in Penton's New York office are Technology Editors Carlos Gonzalez and Jeff Kerns as well as Associate Content Producer Leah Scully.

All three hires will support the Machine Design brand. Gonzalez joins Penton from Sikorsky Aircraft, where he worked on the Hydraulics and Flight Controls for the CH53K Military Aircraft. He holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and a B.S in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in mathematics from Manhattan College. Gonzalez will cover fluid power, motion control, CAD/CAM, and manufacturing for Machine Design. He can be reached at [email protected]
Kerns is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering. He brings experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, automation design, polymer testing, and more. Kerns will focus on materials, 3D printing, and electrical solutions and applications for the Machine Design brand. He can be reached at [email protected].
In addition to supporting Machine Design, Leah Scully will provide content for the group's Hydraulics and Pneumatics and Global Purchasing brands. Scully recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the College of New Jersey. She can be reached at [email protected].
