"With the Twenty20 awards, Aviation Week seeks to identify students who are already making a difference, through their academic performance, the projects and research they undertake, and their engagement with the world beyond their classrooms," Greg Hamilton, Aviation Week president, explained. "These students participate in diverse efforts from tutoring their classmates to participating in organizations such as Engineers Without Borders and Habitat for Humanity, all while maintaining excellent scholastic standing."
"Raytheon is committed to science, technology, engineering and math education – supporting students throughout their academic careers as they set out to strengthen our nation's role as a global innovation leader," said Pamela Erickson, Raytheon's vice president of Corporate Affairs. "We are thrilled to honor these twenty outstanding engineering students for their academic and civic accomplishments."
