Penton Media Announces Appointment of Ellen Shannon, Chief Content Director and Publisher, Multichannel Merchant

NEW YORK, Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Penton Media announced today that Ellen Shannon has joined Penton Media as Chief Content Director and Publisher for Multichannel Merchant.  Multichannel Merchant provides key decision-makers at e-commerce enterprises, catalog and multichannel retail companies with strategic and tactical know-how as well as research and information on selling and delivering products directly to the consumer.  Shannon will report to Leslie Bacon, group publisher and market leader for the Marketing group at Penton.
