PENTAX Medical Appoints Dr. Hudson Garrett Jr. as Global Chief Clinical Officer
MONTVALE, N.J., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- PENTAX Medical Corp. (PENTAX Medical), a healthcare industry leader in endoscopic imaging, announced today that Dr. Hudson Garrett JR. joined the organization as Global Chief Clinical Offer. In this role, he is responsible for building the Global Clinical Affairs program by working with clinical partners and providers to create, advance, and translate evidence-based clinical practices that will benefit patients worldwide, across the continuum of care.
Dr. Garrett previously served as the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at PDI Inc., a provider of products, resources, and training to prevent healthcare associated infections. In addition, he serves as the Industry Liaison for the Association for the Healthcare Environment, a Personal Membership Group of the American Hospital Association.

Dr. Garrett has been published in Infection Control Today, Managing Infection Control, Provider, The Assisted Living Journal, The American Journal of Long Term Care, American Journal of Critical Care, and in several Mosby Saunders medical textbooks. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the Association of Vascular Access, the OSAP newsletter, and the Journal of Infusion Nursing.
Notably, Dr. Garrett received a Presidential Citation from the Society of Critical Care Medicine in 2011 recognizing his advancement of critical care nursing and infection prevention. He also chaired the task force that developed the first infection prevention and control board certification for post-acute care medical and nursing professionals at the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration for Infection Prevention and Control in Post-Acute Care Setting. He was also honored as a "Who's Who in Infection Prevention and Control" by Infection Control Today Magazine in 2013.
