LOS ANGELES, July 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Penske Media Corporation (PMC) today announced two significant executive promotions in the company's legal, human resources, and communications departments: Judith R. Margolin is now vice president, deputy general counsel, and Lauren Gullion is now the company's vice president of human resources and corporate communications. These appointments come as PMC's corporate team develops in response to its rapidly expanding portfolio of iconic brands, which includes Variety, WWD, Footwear News, Deadline, Indiewire, TVLine, Hollywood Life, and, most recently, Robb Report.
"PMC is extremely fortunate to have Judy on board. With her deep knowledge and contacts within the publishing and media industry, we are able to accelerate rapid progress across the business," said PMC Executive Vice President of Business Affairs and General Counsel Todd Greene. "And Lauren has been key in cultivating PMC's impressive employee base and culture; she has also been the driver behind the communications strategies that have made the PMC brand synonymous with first-in-class."
Margolin, who continues to report to Greene and support him in all legal, compliance and risk management matters, joined PMC in 2016 as Deputy General Counsel. In her role, she taps into her comprehensive understanding of publishing to steer PMC's fast-growing editorial teams as they expand both domestically and internationally.
"It's an honor and gratifying challenge to be part of this growing enterprise, particularly as it develops globally," Margolin said. "I look forward to accomplishing even more working alongside Todd and the rest of PMC's strong executive team to ensure PMC's strategic expansion."
Margolin joined PMC with twenty years of experience as media, publishing and advertising in-house counsel with extensive expertise in intellectual property, media law, advertising, litigation and claims management, and compliance. She has worked with some of the largest and best-known digital and print media and advertising brands and companies in the world, including Penguin Putnam Inc. (now Penguin Random House), Time Inc. and Publicis Groupe.
Gullion, who also reports to Greene as well as PMC CEO Jay Penske, was part of the company's initial founding team in 2003 and most recently served as the company's director of human resources and corporate communications – a role she held over the past five years during the company's fivefold growth through multiple acquisitions.
"The challenges and opportunities I've had working at PMC are as unique and forward-thinking as our media brands and their content," said Gullion. "I am honored to be part of such a smart and innovative executive team, and I am always eager to see what's next for PMC."
In her role as vice president, Gullion will continue to lead employee relations in PMC's LA office as well as oversee all corporate communications across the company. A certified Professional in Human Resources, Gullion is passionate about driving PMC's corporate philanthropic initiatives via the company's 2% Foundation. She also manages all building facilities for the LA office with a commitment to ensuring a work environment conducive to collaborative and innovative work.
Margolin is based in the company's New York offices; Gullion works out of PMC's Los Angeles offices.
