Penny Dugan Named 2010 Groomer of the Year

NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Penny Dugan of Boffell, Washington will be recognized on February 12, 2011 as the 2010 Groomer of the Year by Laube at the 56th Annual Purina® Pro Plan® Show Dogs of the Year® Awards, presented by Dogs In Review®, in New York City.

Dugan has groomed for Seattle-based professional handler Timothy Brazier for many years, with the duo racking up numerous accomplishments in the show ring. A breeder of Standard and Miniature Poodles, Dugan bred the Poodle Club of America's 2000 National Specialty winner and has bred multiple Best in Show winners. She says she favors Poodles, because "you have to be very artistic" to groom the breed. A colleague agrees, "Penny has never failed to put each hair in perfect order.
