Pennsylvania State Agencies Invite Public to Celebrate Black History
HARRISBURG, Pa., March 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The departments of Labor & Industry, Health, Public Welfare, Environmental Protection, and Conservation & Natural Resources invite the public to a celebration of Black History on Thursday, March 4, from 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m., at the State Museum of Pennsylvania Auditorium, 300 North St., Harrisburg.
The event was originally scheduled for Feb. 26 but was postponed due to inclement weather.
"The History of Black Economic Empowerment" is the theme of this year's event. The guest speaker will be attorney Ralph C. Thomas III, a partner at the law firm of Barton, Baker, McMahon & Tolle LLP. Entertainment will be provided by the Earth Tones Choir of the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources and the South Side Steppers from the Crispus Attucks YouthBuild Charter School of York.
The State Museum is accessible to individuals with disabilities through the main entrance on Third Street. Individuals in need of special assistance are asked to call Angela Green at (717) 346-2245 by March 3.
