Pennsylvania Slots Revenue for May Shows Slight Difference from 2012
HARRISBURG, Pa., June, 4, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported today that the difference in slot machine revenue generated at casinos during May of this year differed by less than 1% compared to May of 2012.
The complete casino by casino report, which can be found on the Board's web site www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, indicates a difference of just over $1 million when comparing slot machine revenue at the eleven operating casinos: $211,245,136 in May 2013 compared to $212,457,169 during May of last year. That is a decrease of 0.57%.
That resulted in a return of $113,753,541 in taxes to Pennsylvania citizens during May, an average of $3.7 million of taxes collected per day.
The average number of slot machines operating on a daily basis at the 11 casinos was also slightly lower, 25,973 in May 2013 compared to 26,812 during May 2012.
