Pennsylvania Revenue Department Releases October Collections
HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania collected $2.1 billion in General Fund revenue in October, bringing fiscal-year-to-date collections to $8.9 billion, Secretary of Revenue Eileen McNulty reported today.
Sales tax receipts totaled $864.3 million for October, bringing the category's year-to-date total to $3.4 billion.
Personal income tax (PIT) revenue for the month was $833.6 million, bringing the year-to-date total to $3.6 billion.
Corporation tax revenue was $161.5 million for the month, bringing the year-to-date total to $811.5 million.
Inheritance tax revenue was $72.5 million for the month, bringing the year-to-date total to $300.5 million.
Realty transfer tax revenue was $42.1 million for the month, bringing the year-to-date total to $178.9 million.
Other General Fund tax revenue – including cigarette, malt beverage, liquor, and table games taxes – totaled $135.1 million in October, bringing the year-to-date total to $486.6 million.
Non-tax revenue totaled $22.7 million for the month, bringing the year-to-date total to $103.2 million.
In addition to the General Fund collections, the Motor License Fund received $201.1 million for the month. Fiscal year-to-date collections for the fund – which includes the commonly known gas and diesel taxes, as well as other license, fine and fee revenues – total $877.9 million.
October collection data does not include a comparison against anticipated amounts because monthly revenue estimates are not yet finalized.
