Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to Participate in 2019 Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Philadelphia Flower Show
Fine Wine & Good Spirits to host celebrity appearances, tastings at onsite store
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) invites Pennsylvanians to experience an outstanding selection of wines and spirits during the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's annual flower show from March 2 through 10 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
This year's theme, "Flower Power: The Power of Flowers," will capture the emotional and inspirational impact of flowers on people's lives and showcase some of the world's leading floral and garden designers through stunning and imaginative displays.
Robert Irvine, world-class chef, fitness authority, author, and philanthropist, will be on hand at the event to welcome fans and sign pre-purchased bottles of Boardroom Spirits vodkas from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, and from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 10. Irvine discovered Boardroom Spirits at a charity fundraiser in Philadelphia two years ago and fell in love with the quality of the product and the brand. He is now a co-owner of the company.
On opening weekend, Three Meadows Spirits founder Leslie Farhangi will conduct a special tasting of her Peony Vodka and share the story behind its inspiration from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 3.
Limestone Branch Distillery's Steve Beam, of the legendary Beam lineage, will host a bottle signing and tasting and share information about his whiskeys, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, and Friday, March 8.
Throughout the event, the PLCB will feature more than 100 wines and spirits from around the world through daily tastings available to guests age 21 and older. Tastings will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, through Saturday, March 9, and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 10.
For added convenience, an onsite Fine Wine & Good Spirits store will be open from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM daily from Saturday, March 2, through Saturday, March 9, and from noon to 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 10. The store will be in the Grand Hall, adjacent to the tasting area.

The PLCB regulates the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates more than 600 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers. The PLCB also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, community groups, and licensees.
