Pennsylvania Governor Wolf Orders Flags at Half-Staff for Missing United States Marines
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Wolf has ordered all United States and Pennsylvania flags at the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities throughout the state lowered to half-staff effective immediately for the twelve United States Marines missing after two helicopters crashed near the Hawaiian island of Oahu last week.
Among those missing are Capt. Brian T. Kennedy, of Malvern, PA, and Sgt. Adam C. Schoeller, of Gardners, PA.
"Frances and I join with all Pennsylvanians in sending our thoughts and prayers to Capt. Kennedy and Sgt. Schoeller's families, friends, and fellow Marines," said Governor Tom Wolf. "Brian and Adam have served our country with distinction and honor and their brave service will not be forgotten."
Flags shall remain at half-staff until sunset on Friday, January 22.
All Pennsylvanians are invited to participate in this tribute.
