Pennsylvania Governor Rendell Orders Flags at Capitol and in Lycoming County to Fly at Half-Staff through Aug. 6 in Honor of Lance Cpl. Abram L. Howard
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and on commonwealth facilities in Lycoming County to be flown at half-staff in honor of Lance Cpl. Abram L. Howard, of Williamsport.
Authorities said Lance Cpl. Howard, 21, was killed while serving on active duty in Afghanistan. He was a member of the Headquarters and Service Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, based out of North Versailles, Allegheny County.
Flags will remain at half-staff through sunset on Friday, Aug. 6.
