Pennsylvania Governor Corbett Signs House, Senate Bills
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett today signed into law the following bills:
House Bill 1913 (P.N. 3211) – This bill establish the "Real Estate Tax Abatement for Properties Damaged by Hurricane Irene or Tropical Storm Lee Act." It allows a taxing authority to abate 2011 real estate taxes for real property damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Irene or Tropical Storm Lee under specific conditions.
Senate Bill 276 (P.N. 1977) – This bill amends the Downtown Location Law, further providing for powers and duties of the Department of General Services.
Senate Bill 375 (P.N. 2278) – This bill amends section 5610 of Title 53 (relating to municipalities generally) to alter the membership of governing bodies of water and sewer authorities serving at least two counties. It further provides for administration and for expenditures.
Senate Bill 1398 (P.N. 2163) – This bill amends the Storage Tank and Spill Prevention Act further providing for Underground Storage Tank Environmental Cleanup Program and for Underground Storage Tank Pollution Prevention Program.
