Pennsylvania Governor Corbett Signs House and Senate Bills

HARRISBURG, Pa., July 2, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett recently signed into law the following bills:

House Bill 26 (P.N. 1944) – Amends Unemployment Compensation Law further providing for contributions by employees; establishing the Service and Infrastructure Improvement Fund; & further providing for the Unemployment Compensation Fund.

House Bill 513 (P.N. 2169) – Amends Title 20 (Decedents, Estates & Fiduciaries) further providing for payment to family & funeral directors, for settlement of small estates on petition and for estates not exceeding $50,000.

House Bill 515 (P.N. 1946) – Amends PA Municipalities Planning Code further providing for definitions; and providing for mailed or electronic notice in certain proceedings.

House Bill 1122 (P.N. 2085) – Amends Title 68 (Real & Personal Property), in creation, alteration & termination of condominiums, to extend time limits and provide for mergers.

House Bill 1124 (P.N. 2061) – Amends Title 7 (Banks & Banking) providing for defs., license requirements, exceptions, mortgage loan business prohibitions, open-end loans, surrender of license, suspension, revocation or refusal, penalties, & noncompliance.

House Bill 1172 (P.N. 1606) – Amends the Local Tax Enabling Act further providing mergers and taxation of political subdivisions.

House Bill 1217 (P.N. 1580) – Amends the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device & Cosmetic Act further providing for schedules of controlled substances.

House Bill 1325 (P.N. 1706) – Amends the Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act further providing for definitions, for official plans and for permits.

Senate Bill 492 (P.N. 456) – Amends the Liquid Fuels Tax Municipal Allocation Law further providing for allocated money.

Senate Bill 579 (P.N. 1193) – Amends the Administrative Code further providing for the PA State Police complement and for definitions.

Senate Bill 583 (P.N. 1174) – Amends the Economic Development Financing Law further providing for competition in award of contracts.

Senate Bill 586 (P.N. 1282) – Amends Title 20 (Decedents, Estates & Fiduciaries), in ownership of property & legal title & equitable estate, further providing for right to dispose of a decedent's remains by creating an exception for members of the armed forces.

Senate Bill 797 (P.N. 1148) – Amends Titles 24 (Education) & 51 (Military Affairs) further providing for the calculation of military members' Public School Employees Retirement System Benefits.

Senate Bill 798 (P.N. 818) – Amends the Public School Code further providing for rights preserved during leave of absence for military service.

Senate Bill 914 (P.N. 128) – Act creating the Insurance Regulation and Oversight Fund; and providing for its use.

Senate Bill 963 (P.N. 1107) – Act authorizing DGS, with the approval of DMVA & the Governor, to grant a right-of-way for a roadway situate in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County.

Senate Bill 964 (P.N. 1108) – Act authorizing DGS, with approval of DMVA & the Governor, to grant First Capital Equities, Inc., certain land of the Commonwealth situate in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, being a portion of Fort Indiantown Gap lands.
