This remains the state's lowest unemployment rate since March 2009.
"Pennsylvania has now added more than 130,000 private-sector jobs since Governor Corbett took office," said Julia Hearthway, secretary of the Department of Labor & Industry. "Combined with an unemployment rate below that of the U.S., Pennsylvania remains on a path of continued growth."
Over the year, June 2012 to June 2013, the unemployment rate was down five-tenths of a percentage point and the labor force was up 51,000. Employment went up 80,000 and unemployment was down 29,000.
