Pennsylvania DMVA to Hold Public Meeting on Sale of Lancaster Armory
Officials to Explain the Sales Process to Interested Buyers
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will hold a public information meeting to discuss the future sale of the Lancaster armory from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, at the Lancaster City Council Chambers, Southern Market Center, 100 S. Queen St., Lancaster.
DMVA staff will explain the process for disposing of state armories and answer any questions. They will provide information about the advantages of acquiring armory property under a historic preservation covenant.
The public information meeting is being held in advance of the upcoming sale of the former PA National Guard Armory located at 438 N. Queen St. in Lancaster.
The Department of General Services will sell these properties for fair market value by competitive bids in the coming months.
