Pennsylvania DCNR Offers Webinar Series on Recreation and Conservation Grants, Green Infrastructure, Forest Riparian Buffers and More

HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is offering a series of webinars offering training and technical assistance on its grants programs and other conservation-related topics. The first of four begins Jan. 11.
"Participants in these webinars will have a chance to learn about our 2017 grant program and so much more," said DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn. "It's all there: information on recreation and conservation projects. How municipalities can mitigate storm-water requirements by infusing green infrastructure elements into park and trail systems. Stewardship responsibilities associated with receiving grant funding. And, our new Riparian Forest Grant program."
DCNR's Bureau of Recreation and Conservation 2017 grant program for statewide, regional and local recreation and conservation projects opens Jan. 23 and closes at 4 p.m. April 12.
Online registration is required for all of the webinar series, which ends Feb. 8, and is offered at DCNR's website: http://events.dcnr.pa.gov.
