Pennsylvania DCED Announces Graduation of Inaugural Class of the School of Municipal Government
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin today congratulated the inaugural class of the Governor's Center for Local Government Services School of Municipal Government at a ceremony today at the Capitol Building.
"I am pleased to recognize the efforts of the individuals of the inaugural class who are committed to strengthening their leadership within their municipality," said Davin. "This afternoon's event is a testament to the success we see when government works. Collaborative efforts are what will propel our municipalities forward helping to building strong, stable communities."
DCED partnered with the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) and Lebanon Valley College to create the Governor's Center for Local Government Services School of Municipal Government for elected and appointed municipal officials in Pennsylvania.
The one-year online training program included five, six-week courses covering varying public administration leadership concepts aimed at building better leaders and fostering healthy communities in Pennsylvania.
