Pennsylvania Business Council Acquires Pennsylvania Political Report
HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- One of Pennsylvania's oldest and most trusted political newsletters has been acquired by one of Pennsylvania's oldest and most respected political action committees.
The Pennsylvania Political Report has been acquired by the Pennsylvania Business Council (PBC) which will add the publication to its growing list of high quality products and services, announced Valerie Gaydos, president & CEO of Capital Growth, Inc. owners of the Pennsylvania Political Report since 1998.
PBC's affiliated political action committee, PEG PAC, has been providing political intelligence and analysis to the business community since its founding in 1972.
PBC President & CEO David W. Patti reported Pennsylvania Political Report will be revamped as a quarterly eNewsletter delivered in PDF form. "The 'new and improved' publication will continue many of the features readers of the Pennsylvania Political Report love," said Patti, "like the 'Top 100' list, the baseball team, and profiles of Pennsylvania's top political leaders. And, the quarterly Pennsylvania Political Report will provide deeper content, audio/video, more data and trend analysis with color graphics, and links to further reading."
For more than a decade, PBC and its predecessor Pennsylvanians for Effective Government (PEG) has provided its members with the weekly pegALERT – a digest of political news and notes. The pegALERT, which is delivered by PDA-friendly email on the final workday of each week includes polling results; candidate announcements; news of political retirements, resignations, or deaths; political appointments; criminal allegations involving political figures; and always a much needed dose of political humor. There are two pegALERT Special Editions delivered in the wee hours following the Primary and General Elections providing comprehensive state and federal election results for Pennsylvania districts.
Gaydos explained that beginning on Friday, September 17, all paid subscribers to the Pennsylvania Political Report will receive the weekly pegALERT. Subscribers will also receive the updated, quarterly Pennsylvania Political Report.
"I am delighted that PBC and PEG will be able to provide such an expanded package of political intelligence, coupled with insightful analysis and commentary," wrote Gaydos to her subscribers.
Patti said that all PBC members will receive the Pennsylvania Political Report at no additional charge as part of their membership benefits. More information about PBC, PEG PAC and joining the organization can be found at www.pabusinesscouncil.org.
Gaydos said Fifty-First Associates, LLC and her affiliate company; Capital Growth, Inc. will continue to develop its core strengths in business & organizational development, legislative and governmental relations, capital growth strategies for early stage businesses seeking angel and venture capital financing and in economic development deal structuring. Gaydos will also devote more time to PiPAC, a Federal Political Action Committee dedicated to independent private investors and business builders, and of which she serves as Chairman and Treasurer.
