Pennsylvania Banking Department to Co-Host Free 'Money Matter$' Conference in Erie
Conference Will Focus on Personal Finance and Investing
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Consumers interested in strengthening their knowledge about personal finance and investing are invited to take part in the "Money Matter$" conference on May 31 in Erie.
The conference is free to the public, but advance registration is encouraged due to the limited availability of seating.
The Department of Banking will host a session entitled "Banking Basics 101," which will focus on recent changes to the banking industry and how these changes can affect consumers' everyday lives. This session will also address different types of banking accounts and various fees that can be assessed to those accounts.
Department representatives will also be available for one-on-one discussions of personal finance issues.
The conference will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in 180 Burke Center of the Behrend College at Penn State Erie. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
