Pennsylvania AFL-CIO Working Families Bus Tour Will Be In Eastern and Northeastern Pennsylvania Through Monday, May 17 and In Johnstown, PA on Election Day
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO Working Families Bus will be traveling through eastern and northeastern Pennsylvania beginning Friday, May 14 through Monday, May 17 in support of Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) events and activities on behalf of Pennsylvania AFL-CIO endorsed candidates on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, May 18, 2010, (see schedule below).
The leadership of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO: William George, President; Richard Bloomingdale, President-elect; and Frank Snyder, Secretary-Treasurer-elect will lead the bus tour this weekend. The bus travels back to Johnstown on Tuesday, Primary Election day to support labor's GOTV program on behalf of Democratic U.S. Senator Arlen Specter and Democratic candidate Mark Critz for Special Election and the Primary Election.
The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO Working Families Bus is wrapped in larger-than-life color photos of people at work and features a sound and public address system and automated speaker's platform for labor rallies and events.
