HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania AFL-CIO's 39th Constitutional Convention will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, 1000 Fort Duquesne Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA, beginning Monday, April 12 through Thursday, April 15, 2010. The Convention will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the formation of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO under the Theme: "Remembering the Past – Defining the Future."
Both national and state political and labor leaders will address the Convention's General Session to be held in the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom located on the Third floor of the Convention Center.

Delegates will be focusing on plans for the 2010 elections as well as issues of importance to workers: creating and protecting good jobs; health care reform; fair trade policies; retirement security; defeating privatization, freedom to organize; work and family protections; among others.
