Pennsylvania AFL-CIO Applauds Bi-Partisan Support of the State's Congressional Delegation in Protecting Prevailing Wages on Federally Funded Projects

HARRISBURG, Pa., June 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania AFL-CIO President Rick Bloomingdale and Secretary-Treasurer Frank Snyder today applauded the bi-partisan support of the majority of the members of the United States House of Representatives, including the members of Pennsylvania's Congressional delegation, for supporting the Davis-Bacon Act – fair wages and benefits for working people – on federally funded military construction projects.

"We are pleased that all our Democratic and six (6) of our Republican members of Pennsylvania's House Delegation recognize and support local community wage and benefit standards on federally funded construction projects.
