PennEast Acknowledges 7 To 13 Month Delay In Pipeline Review - Statement From ReThink Energy NJ

STOCKTON, N.J., April 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a statement from Tom Gilbert, campaign director, ReThink Energy NJ and New Jersey Conservation Foundation: "We are pleased to see that PennEast today acknowledged that the project is indeed significantly delayed by at least seven to 13 months, by moving its projected in-service date from Nov. 2017 to the second half of 2018. This is due to the tremendous opposition to this unneeded and dangerous pipeline, and PennEast's failure to provide the data and analysis requested by Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Continued opposition and problems with this project will only lead to further delays, and put it at risk of failure."
