PEMA Announces Location Change for Public Assistance Applicant Briefings in Cumberland County
HARRISBURG, Pa., April 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency announced today a change in location for two disaster assistance applicant briefings scheduled for Thursday, April 29, in Cumberland County.
The updated Cumberland County locations as follows:
- Cumberland County: 2 p.m. at the Carlisle Fire and Rescue (please enter at the Social Room and use the parking area closest to the center of town), 177 Carlisle Springs Road, Carlisle
- Cumberland County: 6 p.m. at the Department of Public Safety, County Prison Building-lower level, 1101 Claremont Road, Carlisle
Earlier this month, President Barack Obama approved a federal disaster declaration for Public Assistance for storm costs from the severe snow storms that hit the state Feb. 5 – 11.
Applicant briefings will be held in Adams, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, Philadelphia, Somerset, Westmoreland, and York counties.
The applicant briefings, which are the first of two meetings required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, will offer an overview of the federal reimbursement process and the required documentation for applications. At the briefing, each applicant should be prepared to schedule their kick-off meeting – the second FEMA-required meeting – starting the week of May 3.
