Pelosi Statement on United Nations Resolution to Impose New Round of Comprehensive Sanctions on Iran

WASHINGTON, June 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi today issued the following statement after the United Nations Security Council voted 12 to 2 to impose a new round of comprehensive sanctions on Iran:

"Today, the United Nations presented a clear choice to the government of Iran: suspend its nuclear program and rejoin the community of nations as a partner in peace and security; or continue to defy calls for diplomacy and engagement, and face comprehensive sanctions.
