Pelosi Statement on Threats by Florida Minister to Burn Copies of the Koran on September 11

WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today in response to threats by a minister in Florida to burn copies of the Koran, the Islamic holy book, on September 11th.

"As the holy season of Ramadan comes to an end, I join with people of all faiths in denouncing the disrespectful proposal to burn copies of the Koran.
