Pelosi Statement on House Passage of Bipartisan Cybersecurity Enhancement Act

WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today after the House passed the Cybersecurity Enhancement Act, a bipartisan bill to improve cybersecurity in both the private and public sectors. The House passed the bill by a vote of 422 to 5.

"The last decade has witnessed the rapid expansion and growing significance of information technology, bringing businesses, communities, and nations closer together, and increasing the productivity of workers worldwide. This growth has been critical to progress in major sectors of our economy and a driving force behind our strategic investments in broadband access and adoption throughout the country.
