Peak 10 Expands Cincinnati Operations by 5,000 Square Feet
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- National IT infrastructure and cloud services provider, Peak 10, Inc., announces the expansion of 5,000 square feet of additional space, including 3,800 square feet of data center space, in its Cincinnati facility. Regional businesses and elected officials joined Peak 10 at its state-of-the-art data center facility located at 5307 Muhlhauser Road in West Chester during a special edition of the West Chester–Liberty Chamber Alliance Business After Hours on Aug. 20, to unveil the expansion and celebrate how Peak 10 is supporting economic development by delivering secure, reliable IT infrastructure solutions – including cloud and data center solutions and managed services – to help meet the needs of area businesses.
"By supporting and maintaining the critical IT infrastructures of area businesses, Peak 10 has served as a catalyst for ongoing economic development in our area," said Mark Welch, Vice President of West Chester Township. "We are glad to see Peak 10 expand its operations here, enabling the company to further its contribution to our local business economy."
The new space is contiguous to Peak 10's existing Cincinnati data center, which opened in October 2008 to accommodate continued growth of Cincinnati customers in Peak 10's neighboring Louisville, Ky. facility. By delivering tailored, secure IT Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions, Peak 10 allows local businesses to grow without having to invest capital into their own hardware or infrastructure. Now complete, this expansion brings Peak 10's entire Cincinnati footprint to roughly 27,000 square feet.
"Our growth is a result of strong demand for our secure infrastructure, cloud and managed services, particularly from companies in heavily regulated industries, such as finance and healthcare, who have stringent compliance, security and availability requirements," said Dan Doerflein, vice president and general manager for Peak 10, overseeing Cincinnati operations. "We look forward to even more growth in the Greater Cincinnati region, as we continue to support the IT and business operations of local businesses, and expand our partner community."
Peak 10 solutions scale and adapt to changing business and technical needs, enabling Cincinnati businesses to increase agility, lower costs, improve performance and focus internal resources on core competencies. Cincinnati-based companies like dunnhumbyUSA, Pro Mach and Gorilla Glue rely on Peak 10's highly reliable solutions to maintain their production environments – the backbone of their business operations.
"This is an exciting time for our company, as several of our markets are in expansion mode, and our mid-market customers continue to leverage our colocation, cloud and supporting services," said David Jones, president and CEO of Peak 10. "In addition to our Cincinnati expansion, Peak 10 recently broke ground on a 60,000 square foot data center facility in Tampa and Phase 1 of our 70,000 square foot facility in Alpharetta, Ga. will open later this month."
