PCCA acquires three compounding industry companies in the United Kingdom

HOUSTON, Feb. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- PCCA has purchased The Specials Laboratory Limited (TSL), Arjun Products Limited, and Craig and Hayward Limited from Dublin, Ireland-based UDG Healthcare PLC (LSE: UDG).

It also accelerates our goal of bringing the benefits of personalized medications to a wider audience especially in important markets like the United Kingdom and Europe."  

TSL makes and delivers "personalized medications" or "specials" to thousands of community and hospital pharmacists and practitioners throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. It also supplies "special obtain" items when they are not available through traditional wholesalers. Arjun Products sources skincare and ENT pharmaceuticals and supplements for mainstream wholesale distribution. Craig and Hayward provides specials pharmaceuticals to pharmacies in England and Wales.

The companies employ 130 people at three sites licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) who is responsible for regulating all medicines and medical devices in the UK.
