Season two opens with an inspirational story:
Born and raised in Waller, Texas, Jenna Kinard grew up surrounded by the love of a large family and close friends. However, despite her surroundings, she developed self-image issues at a very early age. Over the years, she became enamored with the beauty circuit where these problems snowballed into a life-threatening eating disorder as she claimed multiple pageant wins and the title of Miss Teen Texas-World.
Rock bottom was met in a doctor's office after a series of tests yielded that Jenna had only a few months to live if her war against herself continued. Through bouts of insomnia while in recovery, Jenna discovered Paula Deen and fell in love with her quirkiness, compassionate heart and passion for food. Striving for that freedom in one's own skin and Paula's same joy of cooking, she began preparing Paula's recipes for her family and allowing herself a little here and there, getting stronger one bite at a time.
Jenna appears in two episodes of "Positively Paula" cooking for and alongside one of her biggest heroes and inspirations. She may have even topped Paula with her triple-decker deep-fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
You are invited to gather the family and spend 30 minutes with your good friend Paula Deen.
