Paul Walker's Daughter Files Wrongful Death Car Accident Lawsuit against Porsche, says Legal-Bay Lawsuit Settlement Funding Firm
Case Funding Firm says the Fast and Furious star's 16 year old daughter filed a civil lawsuit recently against Porsche, alleging that her father would still be alive if the vehicle weren't poorly built.
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Legal-Bay LLC, The Lawsuit Settlement Funding Company, reports today that actor Paul Walker's 16 year old daughter has recently filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche. In the car crash that killed Paul Walker and Roger Rodas two years ago in California, the vehicle slammed into a concrete lamppost and a tree, then burst into flames 80 seconds later. Both men were burned beyond recognition. According to NBC News, "Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and California Highway Patrol concluded that it was high speeds — and not a mechanical failure — that were responsible for the November 30, 2013 crash." However, Paul Walker's daughter filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to the article, claiming that the 2005 Carrera GT sports car made by Porsche was poorly built, alleging that the seat belts were poorly designed, the safety features were "skimped on," and the rubber fuel lines were flawed. The suit alleges that if these defects did not exist in the Porsche vehicle that crashed, Paul Walker would still be alive today.

Patty Kirby, COO and Head of Client Relations, commented on the wrongful death lawsuit, "The death of a rising Hollywood star is always tragic and is sure to be followed with a wrongful death accident lawsuit. Since product liability car malfunction suits of this nature tend to be defended vigorously, this case could drag through the court system for years. Porsche has denied any liability to this point and the plaintiffs have a tough case to prove due to the speed of the car at impact based on our knowledge of a case of this nature."
