Paul Jukes Wins ASME Ross Kastor Educator's Award 2011
HOUSTON, Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Petroleum Technology Institute (IPTI), part of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), has awarded the prestigious Ross Kastor Educator's Award for 2011 to Dr. Paul Jukes, president of MCS Kenny in Houston, at their annual awards dinner on November 8 in Houston.
The award recognises "dedication to improving engineering and science awareness for students and the enhancement of education for future leaders." Paul is actively involved in promoting education at the University of Houston. He has helped raise significant monies for university endowment funds, advises on course curriculum and helps to increase links between the university and industry.
Paul is also a committee member of the ENGINEERS TO ENERGY (E2E) initiative. The E2E consists of vice presidents and CEOs from the energy industry with the main aim of encouraging young people to join the energy sector, and Paul has been actively involved in supporting people to pursue careers in science, engineering and mathematics.
