Paul Gauguin Cruises Offers Free Ambassadors Of The Environment Youth Program
On 2014 Holiday Voyages In French Polynesia - A $299 Value Per Child
BELLEVUE, Wash., June 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul Gauguin Cruises (www.pgcruises.com), operator of the highest-rated and longest continually sailing luxury cruise ship in the South Pacific, the m/s Paul Gauguin, and the 88-guest m/v Tere Moana, will offer oceanographer and environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment Youth Program free on holiday voyages in French Polynesia this December when booked by July 31, 2014—a value of $299 per child.
Cousteau and his Ocean Futures Society created the Ambassadors of the Environment Youth Program, which is a unique, groundbreaking program that introduces young travelers to the extraordinary natural wonders of French Polynesia through direct, hands-on, interactive learning. The mission of the Ocean Futures Society is to explore our global oceans, inspiring and educating people throughout the world to act responsibly for their protection.
Under the guidance of expert Ocean Future Society naturalists, young Ambassadors (ages 9-17) explore coral reefs, hike rainforest trails, experience Polynesian culture, and visit marae (ancient Polynesian temples). They also learn how black pearls and vanilla are cultivated, how volcanic islands become coral atolls, and how to paddle an outrigger canoe. Parents are encouraged to join their children on eco-excursions and other activities aboard and ashore.
The Ambassadors of the Environment Youth Program is offered free on 7-night Tahiti & the Society Islands Holiday Cruises departing December 20 & 27, 2014, with cruise fares starting from $5,195 per person and includes airfare from Los Angeles. The third guest in a stateroom sails free.
There is no better way to spend the holidays as a family than with Paul Gauguin Cruises—voted the "#1 Small-Ship Cruise Line for Families" in Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards in 2013.
