Paul Curran Named Cox Media Group's VP of Revenue
ATLANTA, March 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Media Group (CMG) has named Paul Curran as its new Vice President of Revenue. Curran officially steps into the role on May 2 and will be based at the company's headquarters in Atlanta. Curran succeeds Jane Williams, who was named Publisher of the Austin American-Statesman earlier this year.

As VP of Revenue, Curran will be responsible for revenue development; sales operation systems, including CRM and yield management, and structure; and acquiring, evaluating and developing talent both at the field sales and sales management levels. He also will work with CMG's sales consultants to ensure they are providing the greatest value and service to CMG operations and ultimately the company's customers.

Curran previously was General Sales Manager for CMG Pittsburgh, including WPXI-TV, the Pittsburgh Cable News Channel, WPXI.com and Retro Television Network. He began his career with Cox as an Account Executive at KTVU Television in San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose in 1995 after working as an Account Executive for Blair Television in San Francisco for two years. Curran left Cox for two years to serve as a National Sales Director in San Francisco for IMG, the global leader in sports marketing and entertainment, before returning to KTVU as National Sales Manager in 2001. He was promoted to Local Sales Manager in 2003. Curran began his broadcasting career as an Account Executive at KSBW Television in Monterey, Calif. in 1991.
