Ms. Robertson brings a strong background of counseling corporate and governmental clients on complex matters. She has extensive experience representing public pension funds and other institutional investors with respect to investment in private equity, venture capital, hedge and other alternative investments. She also advises both investors and portfolio companies on acquisitions, dispositions and mergers, and has vast experience representing foreign and domestic corporations and governments across a broad spectrum of industry and legal issues.
Ms. Robertson is the latest in a string of 10 recent hires made by Patton Boggs in key practice areas. Last month, Patton Boggs announced the arrival of four attorneys – also from Edwards Wildman Palmer – who significantly enhanced its public finance and infrastructure capabilities. Alphonso E. (Al) Tindall, Jr., Sani A. Williams and Deborah Hartmann Henry joined the firm's New York office and Alethia N. Nancoo joined the firm's Washington DC office. Ms. Nancoo and Mr. Tindall joined as partners, while Mr. Williams and Ms. Henry joined as of counsel.
Other recent hires include business lawyers Gina Betts, Ken Betts and Laurie Lang in the firm's Dallas office; litigator Tarek Saad in Denver; and former Federal Election Commission Chairman Don McGahn, who re-joined the firm in Washington, DC.
"For several months, we have been saying that we would continue to acquire talent in key practice areas where Patton Boggs is strong or poised for growth. Bringing Pam on board with her experience in public finance and private fund investments is yet another step in that strategy," said Edward J. Newberry, managing partner of Patton Boggs. "Pamela's arrival further augments the exceptional team we welcomed to Patton Boggs last month, and we are extremely pleased that she has joined us."
