Patrick Connors Named Vice President, Publisher of Men's Fitness
NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- David J. Pecker, Chairman, President and CEO of American Media, Inc. (AMI), today announced the appointment of Patrick J. Connors as Vice President and Publisher of Men's Fitness. Mr. Connors comes to Men's Fitness from Conde Nast, where he most recently held the position of Associate Publisher, Digital and Print, for Glamour and Glamour.com.

Prior to his role as Associate Publisher of Glamour and Glamour.com, Mr. Connors served as Associate Publisher for Details and Details.com. In this position, he led a team of thirty people and built brand and sales strategy across categories resulting in 40% growth of new business in 2010. He was awarded the Conde Nast Outstanding Revenue Growth Achievement Award.
Mr. Connors began his career at Conde Nast in 2006 as Beauty Director for Lucky Magazine. From there, he established a strong reputation as a sales and marketing leader, holding numerous roles at Glamour including National Ad Manager and National Advertising Director. Prior to joining Conde Nast, he was Beauty Manager at Latina Media Ventures, where he grew all beauty categories by 15% over one year.
Looking ahead to his new role at Men's Fitness, Mr. Connors seeks to define the cutting edge reader for this AMI flagship publication. "Men's Fitness Editor-in-Chief Michael de Medeiros has created a creative springboard for growth through his fine stewardship of the magazine," said Mr. Connors.
