SYOSSET, N.Y., Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Patricia A. Rucker, of Sacramento, California, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for her outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of education.

ABOUT PATRICIA A. RUCKER

Ms. Rucker has more than 25 years of experience in the education field.  Building relationships and coalitions and maintaining them are the crucial foundations of her current position as a Legislative Advocate with the California Teachers Association.  She has worked to impact conditions for teaching and learning and is involved in shaping multiple proposals for teacher credentialing, teacher evaluations, professional development, career technical education and monitoring federal education issues, such as the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).  Ms. Rucker has an extensive background teaching the gifted and talented at the elementary and high school levels.  She is certified to teach English, Government, Reading and Mathematics.  She was employed as a lecturer at the CSUS School of Education for over 10 years.  She has served on a panel for the Congressional Black Caucus and has contributed to CTA's California Educator.  Ms. Rucker received her M.Ed. in Education and Curriculum Instruction from Sacramento State University in 1986.  She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Sorority, the California Multiple Pathways Study Group, Expert Panel Member advising The James Irving Foundation, Improving Teacher Quality Program Advisory Committee Member at CPEC and a Board Member of the Center for Polytechnic Education, Chicago, Illinois.  Ms. Rucker currently resides in Elk Grove, California, spending her free time cheering for the Oakland Raiders/New York Knicks and listening to jazz and R&B.  She also enjoys reading mysteries and cross-stitching.
